Core Product Positioning
The Cisco VIC3-4FXO/DID is a third-generation pluggable analog voice mezzanine daughterboard designed for Cisco multiservice Integrated Services Routers. Each port can be individually configured to operate in FXO bidirectional trunk mode or inbound-only DID trunk mode. FXO mode connects to PSTN central office circuits or legacy PBX analog trunks for two-way voice calling. DID mode receives dialed digits from carrier DID trunks to route incoming calls directly to internal extensions. This flexible multi-trunk voice card supports medium-density branch VoIP gateways, Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST), Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (CUCME), toll bypass, emergency E911 connectivity and hybrid TDM-to-IP telephony migration.
