The Cisco Aironet AIR-CAP3602E-x-K9 is a lightweight CAPWAP access point within the Cisco Aironet 3600 Series. It must be managed by a Cisco Wireless LAN Controller and does not support autonomous standalone operation.
Compliant with IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n standards, it provides simultaneous dual-band coverage on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radio bands. Designed with 4×4 MIMO and three spatial streams, it reaches a maximum aggregate wireless throughput of up to 450 Mbps.
The AIR-CAP3602E-x-K9 is equipped with four RTNC external antenna connectors. System integrators can deploy customized omnidirectional or directional external antennas to adjust RF coverage for complex indoor environments. This access point features a modular hardware platform, supporting optional expansion modules for enhanced spectrum monitoring and wireless security capabilities.
Built-in Cisco CleanAir Spectrum Intelligence detects, classifies, locates and suppresses non-Wi-Fi radio interference to improve wireless reliability. ClientLink 2.0 optimizes connection performance and signal stability for legacy Wi-Fi clients.
It includes one 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet port and one RJ45 console management port. Normal operation is supported via IEEE 802.3af PoE.
It supports complete enterprise security features: WPA/WPA2, AES, TKIP, 802.1X authentication and multiple EAP protocols. Compatible with ceiling rail and wall mounting brackets, widely used in offices, schools and medium-density indoor wireless scenarios.
The suffix "x" represents different regulatory domains to comply with local radio frequency regulations.
