The Cisco Aironet AIR-LAP3502E-x-K9 is a legacy lightweight CAPWAP access point within the Cisco Aironet 3500 Series. It must be managed by a Cisco Wireless LAN Controller and cannot work in autonomous standalone mode.
Compliant with IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n standards, the AP supports simultaneous dual-band operation across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radio bands. It utilizes a 2×3 MIMO architecture with two spatial streams, delivering a maximum aggregate wireless throughput of up to 300 Mbps.
The AIR-LAP3502E-x-K9 is equipped with four RTNC external antenna connectors. Installers can select matching omnidirectional or directional external antennas to customize RF coverage for complex indoor layouts.
Integrated Cisco CleanAir Spectrum Intelligence detects, classifies, locates and mitigates non-Wi-Fi radio frequency interference to improve network stability. Cisco ClientLink optimizes connection performance for legacy 802.11a/b/g clients.
It features one 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet port and one RJ45 console management port. The access point operates on IEEE 802.3af PoE, PoE+ is not mandatory.
It supports full enterprise security functions including WPA/WPA2, AES, TKIP, 802.1X authentication and a variety of EAP protocols. Compatible with standard ceiling rail and wall mounting kits, suitable for offices, schools and medium-density indoor wireless deployments.
The suffix "x" stands for different regulatory domains to meet local RF spectrum compliance requirements.
