The Cisco Aironet AIR-CAP2702E-x-K9 is a lightweight CAPWAP access point belonging to the Cisco 2700 Series. It must work with a Cisco Wireless LAN Controller and does not support autonomous standalone operation.
It complies with IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wave 1 standards and operates concurrent dual-band on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios. Featuring 3×4 MIMO with three spatial streams, it provides a maximum aggregate wireless throughput up to 1.3 Gbps.
This AIR-CAP2702E-x-K9 version comes with four RTNC external antenna connectors. Users can install customized omnidirectional or directional external antennas to shape RF coverage for complex indoor environments.
Integrated Cisco CleanAir Spectrum Intelligence detects, classifies and mitigates radio frequency interference to improve wireless reliability. ClientLink 2.0 optimizes connectivity for legacy 802.11 a/b/g/n clients.
It is equipped with two 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet ports and one RJ45 console port. Full radio performance requires IEEE 802.3at PoE+. If powered by IEEE 802.3af PoE, the radio will be limited to 3×3 MIMO.
It supports complete enterprise security features including WPA/WPA2, AES encryption, TKIP, 802.1X authentication and multiple EAP protocols. The access point supports ceiling rail mounting and wall mounting, widely used in offices, schools, shopping malls and medium-to-high density indoor wireless environments.
The suffix "x" represents different regulatory domains to meet local RF compliance requirements.
