The Cisco Aironet AIR-CAP2702I-x-K9 is a lightweight, CAPWAP controller-managed enterprise indoor access point within the Cisco 2700 Series. It only operates under wireless LAN controller management and cannot run in autonomous standalone mode.
Compliant with IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wave 1 standards, the AP supports concurrent dual-band transmission over 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radio bands. It adopts 3×4 MIMO architecture with three spatial streams, delivering a maximum aggregate wireless throughput up to 1.3 Gbps.
The AIR-CAP2702I-x-K9 is equipped with built-in omnidirectional dual-band antennas without external antenna ports, enabling neat, simplified indoor deployment without extra antenna wiring.
It incorporates Cisco CleanAir Spectrum Intelligence technology to detect, classify and suppress RF interference, significantly enhancing Wi-Fi stability. ClientLink 2.0 optimizes connection performance for legacy 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless clients.
It features two 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet ports plus an RJ45 console management port. The access point supports IEEE 802.3at PoE+ for full radio performance; when powered by IEEE 802.3af PoE, the radio MIMO capability will be limited to 3×3.
Comprehensive enterprise security functions are supported, including WPA/WPA2, AES encryption, TKIP, 802.1X authentication and multiple EAP protocols. The unit supports standard ceiling rail and wall mounting solutions, suitable for offices, campuses, retail stores and medium-to-high density indoor Wi-Fi scenarios.
The suffix "x" in AIR-CAP2702I-x-K9 stands for different regional regulatory domains to comply with local radio spectrum regulations.
