The Cisco AIR-CAP1602E-x-K9 belongs to the Aironet 1600 Series, factory-shipped CAPWAP lightweight access point built for the Cisco Unified Wireless Network (CUWN) architecture. The compact low-profile plastic enclosure supports standard ceiling tile and wall mounting.

This platform includes key M-Drive technologies: CleanAir Express for spectrum interference monitoring, ClientLink 2.0 to boost performance for legacy Wi-Fi clients, BandSelect to steer capable dual-band clients to less congested 5 GHz, and VideoStream optimized multicast for video applications. All WLAN definitions, authentication profiles, roaming parameters and threat detection policies are centrally managed on the wireless controller.
